Biomedical Sciences Major

Study the sciences from a human perspective through our biomedical sciences major. From anatomy and physiology to human microbiology, you’ll develop an understanding of biological and chemical systems of the human body — and you’ll develop a foundation for a career in the health professions.

Biomedical Sciences Pre-Dental Post-Baccalaureate Program (BMPD)

This program is designed to help students build a more competitive dental school application in 12 months. The program is for students who already have a significant scientific background but seek to strengthen academic resumés by taking an intensive pre-dental curriculum that includes graduate-level biomedical coursework and immersion in the dental field.

Marquette Physician Assistant Studies: Biomedical Sciences Accelerated Track

The Biomedical Sciences major at Marquette is powerful preparation for students planning to enter the Physician Assistant profession. The opportunity to study distinctively human medical sciences courses at the undergraduate level is exceedingly rare. In fact, the Marquette biomedical sciences curriculum, taught by faculty scientists, is unique.

The undergraduate program in the Department of Biomedical Sciences within the College of Health Sciences provides a distinctive area of study to Marquette students and is specifically designed to prepare individuals for careers in the health industry.
